on industry-standard PCs running Microsoft Windows 98, ME, NT Server
V3.51, NT Workstation V3.51
NT Server V4.0, NT Workstation V4.0, 2000 Professional, 2000 Server
2000 Advanced Server, XP Professional edition and XP Home edition.
Exploits Windows's client/server architecture via configurations
with one or many Global servers running on one or many Windows servers
supporting up to 229 Global clients; these can be running on workstations
with any of the above versions of Windows. Global System Manager
(GSM (Windows)) incorporates Global Windows Workstation's graphical
user interface as standard, and offers the unique ability to transform
a Windows server or workstation into a multi-user, general purpose
computer supporting any number of serial screens or PC workstations.

UNIX |
Currently available for SCO Unix, HP-UX V11.0,
AIX V4.3, AIX V3.2.5. Each user can run up to 9 Global programs
concurrently, switching between Global and other Unix applications
without losing the Global context. Supports up to 52 simulated hard
disks and up to 100 printers.

NOVELL |
Extends System Manager (DOS & Windows) with local area networking using the SPX protocol level within Novell NetWare on any NetWare-supported hardware (Arcnet, Ethernet, IBM Token Ring, etc.) Uses Novell's NLM (NetWare Loadable Module) technology for added performance and reliability. Global printer output can be directed to local printers or to a Novell spooler controlled by another computer. |
DOS
|
Available in multi-user and networking versions
on industry-standard PCs, enables Global applications to be run
from within the DOS and Windows environments, concurrently with
DOS and Windows applications. Global files are held within simulated
volumes inside standard DOS files. System Manager (DOS & Windows)
runs with DOS versions 3.0 to 6.2, Windows 3.1 and 3.11, and Windows
95/98.
